Tom Sweatman Wins USA Late Model Main

South Sound Speedway on Saturday April 11, 2026 was full of excitement with 4 classes on hand. D & S Light Truck and Auto USA Late Model, 7 cars for 50-laps, Crown Stocks, 10 cars for 25-laps, Legends, 10 cars for 30-laps, Legends/Young Lions, 3 cars for 15-laps, and Bandolero, 9 cars for 15-laps.
D & S Light Truck and Auto USA Late Model Main Event started with Randy Garcia on the pole, and Dave Cline on the outside. Garcia takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 1, Chase Pittman spins, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 3, turns 1 and 2, Tom Sweatman and Aaron Flett get together, bringing out caution number 2. Sweatman takes the lead on lap 31. On lap 42, front stretch Garcia spins, bringing out caution number 3. Sweatman goes on to win the USA Late Models 50-lap Main event, followed by Cline, Flett, Kyle Kinzebach, and Pittman to round out the top five.
Tom Sweatman had a fast time of 14.417.
Crown Stock Main Event started with Zach Howell on the pole, and Travis McGregor on the outside. Travis McGregor takes the lead on lap 1. Chris Jack takes the lead on lap 6. Jaime Nyenhuis takes the lead on lap 13 and goes on to win the Crown Stock 30-lap Main event, followed by Bob Koepl, Jack, Matt Foley, and Doug Wilde to round out the top five.
Donnie Steele had a fast time of 18.253.
Travis McGregor won heat race #1, and Jaime Nyenhuis won heat race #2.
Legend Main Event started with Shane Sawin on the pole, and Matt Barrett on the outside. Sawin takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 3, Ryley Hamness spins, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 10, caution was thrown for Dylan Wolf who got a mechanical flag but could not see it with being so close together. On lap 11, turn 2, Grayson Miller spun and loss a tire, bringing out caution number 3. Barrett takes the lead on lap 29. Approaching the checkered flag in turn 4, Sawin collides with Barrett after entering too fast. Wolf takes the lead and wins the Legend 30-lap Main event, followed by Josh Wharton, Davis Jacobson, Roland McPeake, and William Evans to round out the top five.
Josh Wharton had a fast time of 15.600.
William Evans won heat race #1, and Matt Barrett won heat race #2.
Young Lions Main Event started with Madi Weber on the poll, and Caleb Canfield on the outside. Weber takes the lead on lap 1 and goes on to win the Young Lions 15-lap Main event, followed by Canfield, and Carter Sweatman.
Carter Sweatman had a fast time of 15.970.
Madi Weber won the heat race.
Bandolero Main Event started with Hunter Maggard on the pole. Maggard takes the lead on lap 1. TJ Schlund takes the lead on lap 2 and goes on to win the Bandolero 15-lap Main event, followed by Thatcher Olsen, Maggard, Rylan Presley, and Chase Hormann to round out the top five.
Hunter Maggard had a fast time of 18.689.
Thatcher Olsen won heat race #1, and TJ Schlund won heat race #2.
