South Sound Speedway on Saturday April 4, 2026 was full of excitement with five classes on hand. Olympia Overhead Doors Vintage Modifieds, 10 cars for 35-laps, Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks, 11 cars for 35-laps, O’Reilly Auto Parts Baby Grands, 7 cars for 25-laps, Busted MC / Black Lake Auto Wrecking Tuners, 19 cars for 22-laps, and South Sound Bandits, 11 cars for 30-laps.
Olympia Overhead Doors Vintage Modified Main Event started with Chris Branon on the pole, and Steve Conduff on the outside. Conduff takes the lead on lap 1. Branon takes the lead on lap 2. Joey Cavin takes the lead on lap 4. George Chambers takes the lead on lap 7. Jeff Peterson takes the lead on lap 9. On lap 18, turn 4, Ron Jackson spins, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 19, turn 1, Cavin and Conduff get together and spin, bringing out caution number 2. Peterson goes on to win the Vintage Modified 35-lap Main event, followed by Scott Rinkel, Chambers, Bob Fulmer, and Cavin to round out the top five.
Scott Rinkel had a fast time of 15.408.
Chris Branon won heat race #1, and Scott Rinkel won heat race #2.
Hinkle Homes Hobby Stock Main Event started with Andre Pilon on the pole, and Joe Champ on the outside. Joe Champ takes the lead on lap 1. Eric Woods takes the lead on lap 2. Shawn Jones takes the lead on lap 5 and goes on to win the Hobby Stock 35-lap Main event, followed by Woods, Jack Franks, Steve Prissel, and Champ to round out the top five.
Shawn Jones had a fast time of 15.754.
Samantha Baxley won heat race #1, and Steve Prissel won heat race #2.
O’Reilly Auto Parts Baby Grand Main Event started with Peyton Presley on the pole, and Steven Mitchell on the outside. Mitchell takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 12, turn 4, Tom Howe spins, bringing out caution number1. On lap 16, turn 4, Shawn Jones spins, bringing out caution number 2. On lap 18, turn 2, Presley’s car was leaking, bringing out caution number 3. Mitchell goes on to win the Baby Grand 25-lap Main event, followed by Jones, Presley, Hemi Franks, and Ryan Hughes to round out the top five.
Shawn Jones had a fast time of 14.871.

Busted MC / Black Lake Auto Wrecking Turner Main Event started with Brady Smith on the poll, and Marcis Davis on the outside. After the green flag, turn 4, Antonio Leasure spins and hits the wall head on, bringing out caution number 1. Brady Smith takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 3, Dean Utterback and Mike Myers spin, bringing out caution number 2. On lap 5, turn 2, Austin Hormann and MaryJane Gallwas spin, bringing out caution number 3. Jake Utterback takes the lead on lap 4. Smith re-takes the lead on lap 8. Utterback re-takes the lead on lap 9. Shelby Padilla takes the lead on lap 11. Utterback re-takes the lead on lap 12. Padilla re-takes the lead on lap 21. Utterback re-takes the lead on lap 22 and goes on to win the Tuner 22-lap Main event, followed by Padilla, Jordan Peterson, Chad Smith, and Tim Jordan to round out the top five.
Jordan Peterson won heat race #1, Jake Utterback won heat race #2, and Shelby Padilla won heat race #3.
South Sound Bandit Main Event started with Jaxson Johnson on the pole, and Jay Elliott on the outside. Elliott takes the lead on lap 1. Riley Windsor takes the lead on lap 10. On lap 28, turn 4, Steve Miller loses a tire, bringing out caution number 1. Windsor goes on to win the Bandit 30-lap Main event, followed by Daryl Knutson, Tyler Yates, Elliott, and Dale Knutson to round out the top five.
Cameron Stark had a fast time of 15.147.
