The 2022 race season marks the 51st year of auto racing and entertainment at South Sound Speedway. This year is full of exciting racing mixed with some new fun ideas, and full time class. Our goal is to bring you a fun filled action packed show every night this season.
As we race into the 2022 season several new faces as well as many familiar ones will appear. We will again have the kids club with lots of prizes and fun for the kids, making South Sound Speedway a family friendly place for all.
South Sound Speedway will host 9 classes this season. PowerSports NW Super Late Models which are among the fastest cars in the NW, D & S Auto Pro Late Models, Auto Tech Services Mini Stocks, Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks, Lexar Homes Legends, Olympia Overhead Doors Tuner Cars, Cut Rate Auto Parts Baby Grands, Cut Rate Auto Vintage Modifieds and Kings Transmission Bandoleros. Drivers compete for prestigious championships and track records throughout the season.
Several traveling classes will visit South Sound this year also. The Northwest Super Late Model Series will be back this year. Also, coming back is FSCRA Super 4’s late model style car with a 4 cylinder engine, that offer some of the best side by side racing around.
April 16th, May 14th, June 11th, July 30th and September 17th – Bump to Pass & July 30th—Boat Races will be a show you don’t want to miss. It will be an amazing show.
April 9th, July 30th and September 17th— NW Focus Midgets this is a show that you don’t want to be a show you want to miss.
May 28th and August 6th —The Northwest Super Late Model Series hosts the very best super late model drivers and teams in the NW. May 28th will be the Chad Hinkle 138 race, with Hobby Stocks and Mini Stocks.
May 14th, June 18th and July 2nd—Dwarf Cars you won’t want to miss these shows.
June 4th —NW Pro 4 Trucks this is a show you won’t want to miss.
July 2nd show is always a big event—the Wes Rhodes Fire Cracker Super Late Model 126, Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks, Tuner Cars and Dwarf Cars and of course a grand FIREWORKS display.
The BIG Rigs are always a fan favorite for a good reason. These 1000 horse power diesel burning trucks race 2 and even 3 wide, if you haven’t seen them before, July 16th is a must for your calendar.
