Shawn Jones Wins Hinkle Homes Hobby Stock Main Event

South Sound Speedway delivered a busy night of racing on Saturday, April 25, 2026, featuring four divisions and Fireworks.
• Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks (9 cars, 35 laps)
• O’Reilly Auto Parts Baby Grands (8 cars, 30 laps)
• Auto Tech Mini Stocks / Pro 4 Trucks (8 vehicles, 30 laps)
• Bump to Pass (6 cars, 20 laps)
Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks — Main Event (35 laps)
Jeremy Stone and Andre Pilon led the field to the green, with Pilon taking the early lead on lap 1. Steve Prissel moved in front on lap 2 before Shawn Jones took over on lap 9 and paced the rest of the way to the win.

O’Reilly Auto Parts Baby Grands — Main Event (30 laps)
Ryan Hughes and Derrick Presley started on the front row, but Steven Mitchell grabbed the lead on lap 1. The race’s lone caution flew on lap 5 (turn 4) when Jamison Johnson spun. Mitchell stayed out front to take the 30-lap victory.

Auto Tech Mini Stocks / Pro 4 Trucks — Main Event (30 laps)
Jeremy Howe and AJ Yocom brought the field to the green, but a turn-4 spin by Mac Angeledes immediately brought out the first caution. Yocom led early, with a debris caution on lap 10 (turn 2) slowing the pace again. Josue Leyva took over on lap 11, but another caution and a red flag followed when Yocom slowed in turn 2. Late drama struck on lap 25 in turn 3 when Leyva ran out of fuel, handing the lead to McKenna Cox under caution. Charles LaMere took the lead on lap 26 and went on to win.

Bump to Pass — Main Event (20 laps)
Alex Carlson and Caleb Robinson started on the front row, with Kaylee Charles leading lap 1. The race was stopped on lap 4 after Caleb Robinson spun in turns 1 and 2, lost a tire, and caught fire, bringing out a caution and a red flag for cleanup. When racing resumed, Amber Charles took the lead on lap 5 and drove to victory.
