South Sound Speedway on Saturday August 3, 2024, was full of excitement with three classes on hand. Powersports NW Super Late Models, 20 cars for 200-laps, Hinkle Home Hobby Stocks, 11 cars for 40-laps, and Auto Tech Services Mini Stocks, 11 cars for 30-laps.

Super Late Model Main Event started with Matt Doyle on the pole, and Tristan Haider on the outside. Doyle takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 25, turn 4, Zandar Peters spins, John Lathrop, Jeff Peterson, and Marshall Petersen had no where to go and hit Peters, bringing out caution number 1. Kyle Cottom received the lucky dog. On lap 30, turns 3 and 4, Matt Barrett spins, bringing out caution number 2. Lathrop received the lucky dog. On lap 37, turns 3 and 4, Mike Brooks spins, bringing out caution number 3. No lucky dog. On lap 76, turns 3 and 4, Shawn Jones and Logan Cole get together and spin, bringing out caution number 4. No lucky dog. On lap 80, front stretch, Darrell Midgley spins, bringing out caution number 5. Cole received the lucky dog. Haider takes the lead on lap 81. On lap 82, front stretch, Barrett spins, bringing out caution number 6. Jones received the lucky dog. On lap 83, turn 2, Arlyn Long and Andrew Riehl get together, bringing out caution number 7. Brooks received the lucky dog. On lap 92, turn 3, Scott Rinkel gets into the wall, bringing out caution number 8. No lucky dog. On lap 100, a caution flag was thrown signaling halfway. Cottom received the lucky dog and Haider received the halfway award money. On lap 120, front stretch, Arlyn Long spins, bringing out caution number 9. Lathrop received the lucky dog. On lap 122 Max Schroeder takes the lead. On lap 130, turn 2, Barrett spins, bringing out caution number 10, Lathrop received the lucky dog. On lap 141, turn 2, Barrett spins, Haider checks up and Doyle gets into him, bringing out caution number 11. Long received the lucky dog. On the restart of 141, Schroeder jumps the start, bringing out caution number 12. No lucky dog. Doyle takes the lead on lap 152 and goes on to win the Super Late Model 200-lap Main event, followed by Schroeder, Riehl, Cole, and Sweatman to round out the top five.
Arlyn Long had a fast time of 13.832.
Scott Rinkel won the trophy dash.

Hobby Stock Main Event started with Joe Champ on the pole, and Bryce Tyler on the outside. Champ takes the lead on lap 1. Derrick Gomes takes the lead on lap 2. On lap 3, turn 1, Dave Knittle spins, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 31, turn 1 and 2, Eric Wood’s car start smoking, bringing out caution number 2. Knittle takes the lead on lap 34 and goes on to win the Hobby Stock 40-lap Main event, followed by Gomes, Zack Floreck, Wally Austin, and TJ Shann to round out the top five.
Brandon Chapman had a fast time of 15.921.
Andre Pilon won the trophy dash.
TJ Shann won heat race #1 and Derrick Gomes wins heat race #2

The Mini Stock Main Event started with Eric Angeledes on the pole, and Jesse Boczar on the outside. Angeledes takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, Josh Peters gets the mechanical flag for leaking fuel. Ron Schlund Jr. takes the lead on lap 4. Ryan Macleod takes the lead on lap 6. Charles LaMere takes the lead on lap 12. Peters takes the lead on lap 16 and goes on to win. Peters gets Disqualified so LaMere is the winner of the Mini Stock 30-lap Main event, followed by Macleod, Jack Franks, Schlund Jr., and Richard Woolverton to round out the top five.
Charles LaMere had a fast time of 16.167.
Josh Leyva won the trophy dash.
Jesse Boczar won heat race #1 and Josh Peters wins heat race #2
