Chris Bellanca Wins Legend Regional Qualifier Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday September 2, 2023, was full of excitement with four classes on hand. Lexar Homes Legends, 18 cars for 35-laps, Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks, 8 cars for 30-laps, Cut Rate Auto Parts Baby Grands, 8 cars for 30-laps, and Quality Quick Lube-n-Tune Bandoleros, 10 cars for 15-laps.

Legend Main Event started with Rick McNeil on the pole, and Kyle Kinzebach on the outside. McNeill takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 2, turns 1 & 2, Kinzebach and McNeill get together, bringing out caution number 1. Kyle Lange takes the lead on lap 3. Dylan Wolf takes the lead on lap 6. On lap 8, turn 4, Aaron Flett spins, bringing out caution number 2. On Lap 15, turn 4, Corey Boyle spins, bringing out caution number 3. On re-start of lap 15, turn 4, Hayden Ogle spins bringing out caution number 3. Chris Bellanca takes the lead on lap 21 and goes on to win the Legend Regional Qualifier 35-lap Main event, followed by Wolf, Andrew Riehl, Lang, and John Zaretzke to round out the top five.
Chris Bellanca had a fast time of 15.369.
Aaron Flett won the Dash.
Kaylee Decker won heat #1, Corey Boyle won heat #2, and Rick McNeill won heat #3.

Hobby Stock Main Event started with Brandon Chapman on the pole, and Jeremy Barabe on the outside. The front row ended up going to the back, because they had two attempts at a good start. The new front row was Matt Foley on the pole and Dan Florek on the outside. Foley takes the lead on lap 1. Anthony Barbera takes the lead on lap 2 and goes on to win the Hobby Stock 30-lap Main event, followed by Florek, Foley, Barabe, and Andre Pilon to round out the top five.
Anthony Barbera had a fast time of 16.013.
Jeremy Barabe won the Dash.
John Sweeney won heat #1 and Anthony Barbera won heat #2.

Baby Grand Main Event started with Steven Mitchell on the pole, and Derrick Presley on the outside. D. Presley takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 4, turn 2, William Potts and Eric Johnson Jr. spin, bringing out caution number 1. After choosing to start at the back of the field. Shawn Jones takes the lead on lap 8. On lap 18, turn 1, Johnson Jr. spins again, bringing out caution number 2. On lap 23, turns 3 & 4, Potts spins again bringing out caution number 3. Jones goes on to win the Baby Grands 30-lap Main event, followed by D. Presley, Mitchell, Jack Franks, and Johnson Jr. to round out the top five.
Shawn Jones had a fast time of 14.977.

Bandolero Main Event started with Alexander Boyatt on the pole, Boyatt takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turns 3 & 4, Rylan Presley, and Johnathan Sweeney spin, bringing out caution number 1. Bishop Brothers takes the lead on lap 2. Boyatt re-takes the lead on lap 4. Bishop Brothers re-takes the lead on lap 5. Boyatt re-takes the lead on lap 6. On lap 6, turn 4, Hemi Franks spins, bringing out caution number 2. On re-start of lap 6, back stretch, Bishop Brothers spins, bringing out caution number 3. On lap 7, front stretch TJ Schlund’s car slows to a stop, bringing out caution number 4. On lap 9, coming out of turn 4, Franks steering went out and he goes to the middle of the racetrack, bringing out caution number 5. Boyatt goes on to win the Bandolero 15-lap Main event, followed by Bishop Brothers, Jace Ellis, Tyson Behn and Matthew Anders to round out the top five.
Alexander Boyatt had a fast time of 17.867.
Rylan Presley won the Dash.
Johnathan Sweeney won heat #1, and Bishop Brothers won heat #2.
